Stephen Scalet is a Scientific Advisor and Director of the Trends Italy virtual office at Trends Research & Advisory, a research institution based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, dedicated to exploring issues of societal and national development in the context of evolving global trends. His current work is focused on interfaith relations, geoeconomics, energy geopolitics, the energy transition, and the role of youth in economic development. As a policy practitioner, he has been involved in supporting the development of key national programs and policies in the areas of economy, society, energy, transport, and infrastructure. He has guest lectured at the University of Sharjah College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and UAE University College of Business and Economics. Mr. Scalet graduated with an LL.B degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) followed by a B.C.L. degree from the University of Oxford (Trinity College) and an LL.M degree from Harvard Law School.
