Wasim Salman is the Dean of PISAI, Syrian-Italian professor of contemporary Arabic Islamic thought. Visiting Professor at Pontifical Urbanian University (Rome). Editor of the Journal Islamochristiana. Presidente of the Advisory Board of Mediterranean, Religion and society Chair. Member of the Coordination Committee of Pluriel – University Platform for Research on Islam in Europe and Lebanon. He obtained his PhD in theology at the Gregorian University (2009). He obtained another PhD in Arabic philosophy at the University of Tor Vergata (2016). He published Le califat et la laïcité.
